Below is the medical bulletin issued at 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, by the “Santissima Annunziata” Hospital in Sassari regarding Rossoblù player Yael Trepy’s condition:
“Young patient Yael Trepy, who is currently hospitalized in the Emergency Intensive Care Unit of the SS. Annunziata Hospital, remains under pharmacological sedation and is being mechanically ventilated through airway intubation, with an improvement in respiratory function compared to the severe respiratory failure observed upon admission.
He is afebrile. Antibiotic therapy and microbiological investigations are ongoing.
Cardiovascular function remains stable.
Today, following a radiological reassessment and a lung ultrasound, and provided that the improvement in respiratory function is confirmed, a gradual reduction in sedation is planned, followed by an assessment of the patient’s clinical response.
The prognosis remains guarded. Any further updates will be provided in the event of significant changes in the patient’s clinical condition.”
Cagliari Calcio once again asks that the privacy of the player and his family be respected. Any further updates will be communicated if and when available.
