Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce the acquisition of the registration rights of the player Gianluca Gaetano, who transfers from Napoli on loan with the obligation to buy him back at the occurrence of certain sporting conditions. The player has signed a contract that will bind him to the red and blue club until 30 June 2029.
Born in 2000, who arrived at Cagliari on loan last February, Gaetano quickly won over teammates and fans. Skilled technical qualities, a sense of goal and imagination, combined with dedication to the cause, fight and sacrifice: author of 4 goals and 1 assist in 11 games, he was among the architects of the team’s change of pace, making his precious contribution to achieving permanence in the top division.
Even before his time in the Rossoblù, he had already made his mark with performances: 43 goals and 25 assists with Napoli’s Primavera team, his debut in the first team at only 18 years of age. The move to Cremonese to continue growing: 86 games, 17 goals, 11 assists, the team’s promotion to the A team in the 2021/22 season. Then, back at the base, the satisfaction of the first goal in Serie A, in the prestigious 3-1 victory against Inter, and above all the conquest of the title of Champion of Italy 2022/23. He leaves Napoli after totalling 31 games with the partenopei between Champions League, league and national cups.
Now the beginning of a new red-blue chapter, an island ready to embrace him again: Cagliari and Gaetano, a future of new goals to be achieved together.
