Azzi to Cremonese
Cagliari Calcio announces the transfer of player Paulo Azzi, who moves permanently to Cremonese.
The Italian-Brazilian winger made his debut for Cagliari just days after his arrival on the Island, in the home victory against Como on January 14, 2023: a 2-0 win with a goal on his debut. Azzi would go on to play a key role in the team’s remarkable run, climbing up the standings, reaching the playoffs, and securing promotion to Serie A in the final against Bari on June 11.
The following season marked his debut in the top flight, a dream come true on August 21, in the 0-0 draw between Torino and Cagliari. He scored at San Siro against Milan in the Coppa Italia on January 2, 2024, and made a total of 25 appearances in the league, proving to be a valuable asset in securing the team’s survival. In the first part of this season, he has played 6 matches.
Used in various roles, his versatility has been at the service of the team, bringing positive energy both on the field and in the locker room: the Club thanks Azzi for everything he has contributed to the Rossoblù cause over the years and wishes him the best for his future professional challenges.
