CAGLIARI CALCIO ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP WITH CHARLOTTE METRO FC

Cagliari Calcio is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Charlotte Metro FC, one of North Carolina’s leading youth soccer organizations, as part of the Cagliari XPlay Club international development program.

This agreement represents the Club’s first official partnership in the United States. The collaboration will focus on several key areas, including the training and ongoing development of Charlotte Metro FC coaches through technical programs curated by the Rossoblu staff. Additionally, some Metro FC players will have the opportunity to complete training periods in Sardinia, working alongside their Cagliari peers, gaining valuable firsthand experience in the training methodology.

Founded in 2013, Charlotte Metro FC has established itself as one of the most respected youth soccer organizations in North Carolina, characterized by high levels of competition and growth opportunities offered to hundreds of young players each year. A structured, long-term development model, based on technical excellence, individual growth, and athlete development, supports players at every stage of their journey. A commitment to quality teaching and comprehensive personal development aligns perfectly with the sporting philosophy and values ​​of Cagliari Calcio.

The collaboration officially kicked off during the recent Cary Cup, a prestigious youth tournament held in conjunction with The Soccer Tournament (TST), in which Cagliari participated for the third consecutive year. During the event, a Charlotte Metro FC Under-14 team competed in the red and blue jerseys, excelling in a high-level campaign that culminated in reaching the final.
