MATCH REPORT | Lazio-Cagliari 2-1

Cagliari left the Olimpico defeated: Lazio won 2-1 at the end of a match decided in the second half.
The Rossoblù started with determination, and in the second minute they had their first attempt: Fadera attempted a first-time shot from outside the box, but the ball ended up to the left of Mandas. In the 19th minute, Frattesi fired from the edge of the box after a move by Noslin, but Caprile easily blocked.
Cagliari took the lead in the 21st minute. Fadera, from deep, managed to deliver a ball into the box, and Nzola, cunning and falling, touched it just enough to beat Mandas.
Lazio equalized in the 36th minute: Taylor found Noslin with a backheel, who passed to Isaksen who fired a shot from the edge of the box under the crossbar.
Cagliari responded immediately, and two minutes later, Fazzini nearly took the lead again with a right-footed shot that went just wide to the right of Mandas. The first half ended 1-1.
The second half began at a slow pace and with few opportunities. In the 60th minute, Taylor attempted a direct free kick from the three-quarter line; the ball crossed the area without any deflections, but Caprile was alert and saved. In the 71st minute, Taylor fired a first-time shot into a melee following a well-organized move, narrowly missing the post to the Rossoblu goalkeeper’s right. In the 80th minute, Isaksen attempted a curling shot with his left foot, but the shot went just wide.
Lazio scored three minutes later: Isaksen crossed from the right, Pedraza played the ball over, and Pinamonti headed in. In the 91st minute, Cagliari were reduced to ten men following Obert’s second yellow card. After eight minutes of injury time, the final whistle blew: the match at the Olimpico ended 2-1.
The Rossoblù will return to action at the Unipol Domus on Saturday, November 7th at 3:00 PM, against Frosinone.
