Cagliari Calcio announces the loan transfer of Roberto Malfitano, who will join Barletta on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season. At the same time, the player has signed a contract that ties him to the rossoblù colors until June 30, 2029, with the option to extend the contract for a further three seasons.
Born in 2007, from Alghero, the young midfielder arrives from the Rossoblù Training Center of the Catalan city. He made his U20 debut at just 16 years old, on 27 August 2023, against Juventus, making a total of 27 appearances and one goal in his first season. He confirmed himself the following year: he played 33 matches and was among the architects of the category’s Italian Cup victory. In the season just ended, in which he entered the orbit of the first team, he played 34 matches with the U20s, also on the pitch in the playout final won in Naples (3-0), which guaranteed his stay in the Primavera 1 championship.
Now the signing of his first professional contract and the opportunity to continue his path of human and football growth: a new important step in his career.
Have a nice season, Roby.
