Elia Caprile spoke to the media after the home draw against Genoa. These are his words from inside the Unipol Domus.
THE THRILL OF FATHERHOOD
“I’m coming off a happy period: the national team arrived, and most importantly, my son was born. The thrill of becoming a father is indescribable; only those who experience it can understand. I’m lucky because my girlfriend is doing well, and my family always supports me. As soon as I’m done, I’ll go to the hospital and spend the night with them. Tomorrow we’ll start again.”
ON THE 3-3 ACTION
“I made a mistake on the third goal, unfortunately that’s part of the job: when the goalkeeper makes a mistake, the opponent scores. I take responsibility; it’s not fair to only show my face when things are going well. I always move forward, through the good times and the bad. I misread the situation; I’ll analyze it calmly with the goalkeeping coach.”
THANKS TO THE FANS
“I thank the fans for their affection. I’m the twelfth man on the pitch, and they proved it again today. They certainly proved it to me after the mistake. There’s disappointment because it could have been three points, but we’ll all move forward together.”
