In the Primavera 1 championship, Milan defeated Cagliari 2-1 after a tense match, decided by the Rossoneri’s comeback after the Sardinians had taken an early lead. The match got off to a lively start. Cagliari threatened after just a few seconds through Trepy, but the game-breaking goal arrived in the 6th minute: Milan made a mistake coming out, but Trepy capitalized and passed Raterink, who made no mistake in front of Bouyer to make it 0-1.

AC Milan’s response was immediate. The Rossoneri began to push forward consistently, creating several chances and even coming close to equalizing: Domnitei hit the post from a set piece, while shortly after, Malfitano hit the crossbar for Cagliari on one of the rare counterattacks. As the minutes passed, AC Milan took control of the game and continued to create danger, finding an alert Kehayov in their path. The Rossoblu goalkeeper was decisive on several occasions, but in the 42nd minute he was forced to surrender: Domnitei unleashed a powerful long-range shot that found the back of the net to make it 1-1. The scoreline thus went into halftime.

In the second half, Milan returned to the pitch with greater determination and increased the tempo. The Rossoneri came close to taking the lead several times, hitting the post again with Domnitei and testing Kehayov with several shots. The decisive moment came in the 67th minute: Scotti earned a penalty after a persistent move on the right. Scotti stepped up to take the spot kick, wrong-footing the goalkeeper and making it 2-1, completing the comeback. Milan continued to push forward in the final minutes and came close to knocking out the visitors with Mancioppi and Borsani, but were unable to find a third goal. Cagliari attempted to respond in the final minutes, but were unable to create any truly dangerous opportunities.
