Primavera defeated in Florence

Youth Sector - 15 February 2025

The third win of the season does not arrive for the rossoblù Primavera against Fiorentina, as they lose 2-0 in Florence due to goals from Rubino in the second half.

The rossoblù took to the field with a 4-3-3 formation, with Arba, Cogoni, Pintus, and Marini in defense; Marcolini, Liteta, and Balde in midfield; and a three-man attack with Trepy in the center, flanked by Vinciguerra on the left and Grandu on the right.

The second half is less intense and more inconsistent. At the hour mark, the first substitutions are made with Bolzan coming on for Trepy, and Mazzeo and Balbo for Fiorentina. In the 67th minute, Rubino steps up to the penalty spot: his shot is high and the score remains 0-0. However, he quickly redeems himself, heading the ball past Iliev for the 1-0 lead. Cagliari reorganizes and pushes to create chances for the equalizer, with Lo Verde and Ardau replacing Vinciguerra and Marcolini. A great chance comes in the 84th minute with Malfitano, who, following a corner kick, misses the target from close range. Fiorentina seals the game in the 88th minute as Rubino, on a counterattack, calmly beats Iliev one-on-one. The match ends like this.
