Primavera, draw at Frosinone

Cagliari’s Primavera team drew 1-1 at home to Frosinone, being caught in the second half by an own goal. The rossoblù had gone ahead in the opening minutes through Marcolini.

Cagliari played with Cogoni on the low outside of defence, in place of the injured Arba (in addition to Carboni), and the inclusion from the 1′ of Pintus alongside Catena and Idrissi. In front Kingstone and Vinciguerra with Simonetta, in the middle Conti has Malfitano and Marcolini on either side.

After an initial phase of study, with Frosinone trying with Bouabre and Romano, Marcolini broke the deadlock in the 17th minute: a perfect scramble and a cross-shot from a seasoned forwards for the 1-0 rossoblù. Wodzicki was always alert and protected Cagliari, as in the 27th and 29th minutes on Selvini and in the 34th minute on Romano. In the middle was a yellow card for simulation in the penalty area given to Marcolini. Frosinone tried to build, but Cagliari controlled without too much effort, although they had to accept another yellow, this time for Conti after a tackle in defensive retreat.

At half-time Pisacane chose Balde for Conti. The match restarted in the same way as the start of the first half, and on the stroke of an hour there was the equaliser: a corner at the first post, Balde ‘touch’ it backwards, beating Wodzicki. Immediately afterwards in came Sulev for Marcolini in the 63rd minute, ten minutes later Achour for Vinciguerra. Little happened, Cagliari played the game but did not break through, Frosinone was always insidious and the end was hot: first Palmisani in exit nearly gave the right opportunity to Kingstone, then Luna kicked high. In the 78th minute Kingstone again inside the area, but the shot was out of reach. In the 83rd minute the Zambian made way for Bolzan, who immediately set up Achour, but as time expired it was Wodzicki who had to fly to clear Selvini’s shot from the goal. It thus ends 1-1.
