Among the protagonists of the 4-1 victory at Unipol Domus against Lecce, Rossoblu winger Adam Obert spoke to the media after the match. These are his words:
THREE IMPORTANT POINTS
“I’m really happy for my first goal as a professional, it’s an incredible joy. A goal like an attacker’s, so it’s even more beautiful. But the most important thing today was the three points; it was a crucial match. I’m even happier for the team: it’s a vital win, but our journey is still long. We need to analyze the game, what we did well and what we could have done better. For example, in the first half and at the start of the second half, there were some lapses in concentration. But then we were good at reacting to going behind and turning the game around.”
THE FIRST GOAL
“I also made some mistakes today, and I need to work on that. It’s the details that make the difference. My second half went better: my legs were fresher, I managed to push more, and the goal came. I won the ball back, Zappa made a run on the right, and I stayed close to the box, keeping an eye on the development of the play. I created some space for myself, received the ball, and curled it into the far post. They say scoring the first goal is always the hardest, so hopefully, I can score more now. This goal is dedicated to those who have always been by my side throughout these years.”
THE REACTION
“Lecce created some difficulties for us in the first half. After conceding the goal, we didn’t give up. We made some changes in the second half and told ourselves we had to go out there with the hunger to win this game. Then, the substitutions from the coach gave us more energy, and we started to create more chances. The second goal, followed by the red card, really turned the game in our favor. We were good at taking our chances and controlling the match completely.”
THE COACH’S CONFIDENCE
“I feel the responsibility of playing for this team, and I’m happy with the trust the coach has given me, as well as the continuity I’m finding. But I know I still have to grow and improve a lot. The standings? There’s no point in looking at it right now. What we know is that we must never give up. We’ll keep pushing forward, aiming to get as many points as possible in every match.”
IN MEMORY OF GIGI
“Riva passed away almost a year ago, and I clearly remember those days. He is our legend. Our thoughts are with him, and this week, a delegation from our team will attend the Mass that will be held in his memory.”
