
Cagliari Calcio communicates the composition of the First Team’s healthcare area for the 2026/2027 football season.
The role of healthcare manager will be entrusted to Dr. Gabriele Cirillo, already a member of the rossoblù healthcare area since 2022. Specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Dr. Cirillo boasts over thirty years of experience in physiatry and sports rehabilitation. Since 2001, he has combined his hospital activity with an important path in the world of professional sport. Over the course of his career, among various experiences, he has held positions in the healthcare staff of Inter, Monza, Pro Sesto and Feralpisalò, as well as in basketball with Olimpia Milano and other teams on the national scene. He also collaborated with the National Teams Sector of the Italian Basketball Federation, taking part in five European Youth Championships with the men’s national team. Doctor Matteo Porceddu completes the medical staff of the First Team.
The physiotherapist staff will be made up of Salvatore Congiu, Simone Ruggiu, Nicola Latte and Cristian Calianu. The osteopath will be Andrea Tolu.
Responsible for nutrition will be Luca Naitana, who joins the rossoblù after the experiences gained, among others, at CONI and Sampdoria. Jacopo Naitana will work alongside him.

The Club would like to extend a heartfelt and profound thank you to Doctor Marco Scorcu, who concludes his career with the rossoblù after over thirty years of activity. A professional of absolute value, he represented an essential point of reference for generations of footballers, coaches and managers, standing out for his competence, dedication and extraordinary human qualities. Over the course of his long experience he has been able to guarantee the highest standards in the management of every health aspect, accompanying the team with great attention in both treatment and prevention, always putting the health and well-being of the athletes at the centre. The Club’s most sincere gratitude goes to Doctor Scorcu for the contribution offered over all these years and the best wishes for the best personal and professional satisfaction.
At the same time, Cagliari Calcio also thanks Giovanna Ghiani, who in the last three seasons has followed the nutrition of the First team with professionalism and competence, contributing to the daily work of the staff and the well-being of the athletes.
