The Under 19 team draws 1-1 against Sampdoria

At the CRAI Sport Center in Assemini, the Under 19 team led by coach Pisacane draws 1-1 against Sampdoria: redblues in the lead with Vinciguerra in the first half, in the second half the draw by Thiago Gomes

CHOICES
There is Wodzicki between the posts, the four-man line of defense consists of Cogoni and Idrissi on the outsides, the centerbacks are Catena and Pintus; in the middle Carboni is the play, at his side the inside Balde and Malfitano. In the three-quarter, Simonetta acts behind the attacking pair Vinciguerra and Achour. The first chance of the match is red-blue: in the 10th minute Vinciguerra starts from the left, goes to the center and lets off a right-footed shot from outside the area that, however, is an easy prey for Blucerchian goalkeeper Scardigno. In the 17th minute Cagliari came very close to scoring with Achour: the French striker was in the right place and at the right time on Idrissi’s nice cross from the left, but his flat right grazed the post. Red-blue territorial dominance, Samp defends neatly and the match does not break free.

VINCIGUERRA UNLOCKS THE MATCH
In the 25th minute the hosts took the lead with merit. Side kick from the right, near the corner flag, for Achour: illuminating play by the striker who on the volley of a heel serves Vinciguerra dento the area; the number 22 gets rid of his direct opponent and shot with the right, inside post and goal, his fifth in the season. Samp reaction: in the 30th minute Leonardi breaks free for a shot from a central position, stretching out on his left Wodzicki who foils the threat. In the 41st minute Idrissi tries, the lateral breaks through on the left in the area and lets off a cross-shot that goes off the bottom, however. Thus we go to rest still on the score of 1-0.

SAMP EQUALIZE
The second half opened with Vinciguerra going close to doubling the score: served in the area by a Malfitano throw, the striker discarded the outgoing goalkeeper with a lob, but at the best moment the defense intervened and swept it into a corner. In the 61st minute, the first Rossoblù changes: out come Carboni and Vinciguerra to make room for Sulev and Bolzan. In the 70′ from a defiladed position Achour lets off a right footed shot, his diagonal hit the base of the post. Cagliari seemed in absolute control of the match, but in the 76th minute came Samp’s equalizer by sub Thiago Gomes, who right-footed from inside the area beat Wodzicki.

ONE POINT EACH
In the 80th minute, the guests could even double on a counterattack, but this time Wodzicki says no, rejecting Ovalle Santos’ shot from a deflected position. In the 83rd minute from the bench Ardau and Trepy come in for Balde and Achour. Then Marini takes Simonetta’s place. Three minutes of stoppage time: In the 91′ it is the substitute Ardau himself who comes close to scoring, but his shot does not frame the goal. It is the last chance of the match: at the CRAI Sport Center it ends in a draw.
