The post-regular season phase is approaching for Cagliari Calcio’s Under 15 and Under 14 teams. Coach Davide Carrus’ Under 15 team—who finished Group B behind Milan and Atalanta, ahead of Inter and Udinese—will face Empoli in the playoff round of 16, a two-legged tie: the first leg at home on May 3rd, and the second leg in Tuscany on the 10th.
The format and composition of the four groups for the interregional phase of the Under 14 Pro Tournament, scheduled for April 26th to May 3rd, have also been announced. The 16 teams that qualified at the end of the regional phase have been divided into four groups of four and will face off in one-way matches on April 26th, May 3rd, and May 10th. However, the match dates are different for Coach Francesco Atzeni’s Cagliari team, based in Alghero (home to one of the Rossoblu’s Training Centers): Cagliari will play against Padova on April 25th, Brescia on May 7th, and at home to Hellas Verona on May 11th.
The Rossoblù are in Group C: Union Brescia finished top of Group 2 with 48 points, the same as Cagliari, but they are buoyed by their favorable double-header. Defending champion Padova won Group 4 ahead of Hellas Verona. Therefore, the Lombardy side and Verona, by virtue of their first-place finishes in their respective groups, will play two home games and one away.
Group A (Pilot Committee: Emilia-Romagna): Fiorentina, Empoli, Parma, Sassuolo
Group B (Pilot Committee: Lombardy): Monza, Milan, Juventus, Genoa
Group C (Pilot Committee: Veneto): Union Brescia, Cagliari, Padova, Hellas Verona
Group D (Pilot Committee: Lazio): Pescara, Lazio, Napoli, Catanzaro
