Coppa Quartieri 2025, the Final at Unipol Domus
The tenth edition of the Coppa Quartieri Final took place at the Unipol Domus, with over 300 students and approximately 2,000 spectators in the stands on the morning of Wednesday, November 26th in Cagliari.
The Coppa Quartieri, a sports education project created by the Carlo Enrico Giulini Foundation with Cagliari Calcio, in partnership with USR Sardegna and A.S.D. Marabadminton, with the support of the Fondazione di Sardegna and Despar, and the patronage of Sport e Salute and the Guarantor for Children and Adolescents of the Sardinia Region, has, as usual since 2015, involved students from middle schools in Cagliari (Marina, Stampace, San Michele, Is Mirrionis) and its hinterland (Assemini, Elmas, Decimomannu, Maracalagonis, Sestu, Sinnai), promoting sport, socializing, and active citizenship. The winning teams from the preliminary rounds held between October and early November in the five disciplines: badminton, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and relay race advance to the finals.
An intense morning of physical activity, smiles, conviviality, and fun, all in the spirit of the healthiest values of socializing and sport, hosted by journalists Andrea Matta and Luca Carcassi (speaker for Radiolina and at Unipol Domus for Cagliari’s official matches) and the influencer “Kry Fisso Ridendo.”
Tra i tanti protagonisti di spicco, il presidente del Cagliari Calcio Tommaso Giulini, il membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione Nicola Riva e – coinvolti nelle premiazioni conclusive – l’allenatore Fabio Pisacane, il capitano Leonardo Pavoletti (omaggiato a sorpresa dal Club e da tutti i presenti con la torta per il suo trentasettesimo compleanno), il vice Alessandro Deiola, quindi Gennaro Borrelli e Riyad Idrissi. Con loro anche il mister dell’Under 20 rossoblù Francesco Pisano e i calciatori Andrea Cogoni, Yael Trepy, Nicola Grandu e Ivan Sulev. E, ancora: gli artisti influencer Mattia Cerrito e Sa Leggenda, i cantanti Praci e Dre, il musicista Moses Concas; l’ex campione di atletica leggera nella velocità e oggi commentatore tecnico RAI Stefano Tilli (Sport & Salute), la velocista sarda Dalia Kaddari, i rappresentanti di Team Luna Rossa (Vittorio Bissaro e Umberto Molineris) e del Cagliari Femminile di calcio e futsal, Faustine Pellegry, Arianna Linzas, Ludovica Cao, Cristina Caboni Tonga), le ex calciatrici Gioia Masia e Daniela Di Bari.
“Each edition is a testament to our commitment, which we’ve been pursuing for years,” explains Ilaria Nardi, president of the Carlo Enrico Giulini Foundation. “We’ve seen this event grow and improve each time, through intense activity that extends beyond the Final to every day, with projects focused on sports education, positive support, fair play, and the coexistence of diverse communities. Involving the entire city and its surrounding area in these projects is truly rewarding when you see the numbers, passion, and desire to further spread this approach. Our thanks go to all the institutions involved over time, and to the public and private stakeholders, with the goal—as has already been expressed by many—of continually improving and, perhaps, seeing our example replicated in other contexts.”
Placements went to: first place IC 1-2 Quartu Sant’Elena (1st and 2nd middle school), Piazza Giovanni (3rd middle school); second place Stampace-Marina (1st and 2nd middle school), Sant’Elia (3rd middle school); third place Monastir (1st and 2nd middle school), Assemini (3rd middle school). The BeAsOne Fair Play Award went to Assemini and the Guarantor Trophy Award went to Sestu.
