Born in Shkodër, Albania, the goalkeeper, born in 1997, grew up in the Vllaznia youth academy, where he made his first-team debut on April 12, 2015—at just 17 years of age—against Tirana. In the summer of 2020, he moved to Laçi, also in the Albanian top flight, where he played 53 games in two seasons between domestic competitions and European cup qualifiers. This was followed by a move to Egnatia, with whom he won the 22/23 National Cup and, in the season just ended, the Albanian league and cup double. After playing for his country's U21 team, he made his debut for the senior national team on November 9, 2022.

With an imposing physique, standing at 197 centimeters tall, Sherri is skilled between the posts, courageous in aerial play, and also adept with his feet, qualities that he knows how to put to good use in the build-up phase.
