Born in Montevideo on August 29, 2005, Albarracín grew up in the Montevideo Wanderers youth academy, signing his first professional contract with the club in April 2023. He made his first-team debut on June 24 in a 0-0 Primera División draw against Peñarol. On July 23, he scored his first goal for the first team (44 appearances and 2 goals in total), deciding the away match against Boston River, the team that would sign him in 2025 and from which he now moves to Sardinia. With Boston River, he has made 33 appearances and scored 11 goals. On February 26, 2025, he made his Copa Libertadores debut in the 1-1 draw against Ñublense, while in the Copa Sudamericana he has made four appearances and scored two goals.

Albarracín is a modern and dynamic striker, capable of moving across the entire offensive line. He prefers to start from a central position, alongside a strike partner, but can also adapt effectively to the wings, demonstrating speed, technical ability, and a keen eye for goal. A player of talent and personality, he combines excellent finishing skills with a natural ability to participate in play. His performances quickly earned him a reputation as one of the most exciting prospects in Uruguayan football, culminating in his call-up to the U20 national team and a starring role: 12 appearances (6 in the South American Championship) and 1 goal for the "Celeste" U20 team, where he developed a special bond with another Uruguayan prospect in the Rossoblu squad, Juan Martín Rodríguez.
