Born in Rome in 1995, he came up through the Roma youth ranks. He made his Serie A debut in the Giallorossi jersey on May 18, 2014, in an away match against Genoa: Luca was only 18 years old. After moving to Sudtirol in Lega Pro, he joined Brescia in the summer of 2015, playing 38 games and scoring five goals with six assists.
Signed by Sassuolo, he gained experience in the Europa League and played two seasons in the top flight with the Neroverdi. Then came Genoa, Entella, Sassuolo again, Pisa, and Monza. In Brianza, he made a significant contribution to the team's promotion to Serie A: 31 games, 2 goals, and 6 assists. He confirmed his rise at Frosinone, where he became captain. With the Gialloblù, he achieved another promotion to Serie A.
In the summer of 2024, he signed for Como. He played the first part of the season on the shores of Lake Como before returning to Sassuolo in February and participating in another promotion to Serie A.
A versatile player, he is capable of playing in all midfield positions: inside forward, central midfielder, and, when necessary, defensive midfielder. Gifted with good basic technique, physical strength, and stamina, he is valuable in defense and can also contribute in attack thanks to his ability to get into scoring positions and his good long-range shooting.
