AssistsBorn in Rome in 1998, he is a complete midfielder, with great physicality and dynamism. Versatile and able to combine quality and quantity, he can cover all roles in the key area of the field, from winger to attacking midfielder, if not even as an offensive reference point. He never lacks intensity, runs into space, and solutions from distance thanks to his powerful and accurate shot.
He came up through the Lazio youth academy and had his first professional experience with Virtus Francavilla in Serie C. Over two seasons, he made 66 appearances and scored eight goals, establishing himself as one of the most interesting prospects in the category.
In 2019, he joined Napoli, who sent him out on loan around Italy with the intention of helping him mature. Bari, Pordenone, and Reggina saw him play a leading role, particularly in his second season with the Galletti. In 2022-23, he made 32 appearances and scored nine goals, helping to propel the team to the playoff final, which they curiously lost to Cagliari.
The following season saw his definitive breakthrough. He had an amazing year at Hellas Verona (34 appearances and 5 goals), earning himself a call-up to the national team. Coach Luciano Spalletti gave him his first appearance in a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina, including him in the squad for the European Championships in Germany. Michael had the satisfaction of playing part of the match against Albania, the first game of the continental tournament.
Returning to Napoli, who owned his registration rights, he played half the season with the Neapolitans (7 appearances) and the other half with Fiorentina (19 games between the league and the Conference League).
