Born in 2000 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (France) to Ivorian parents, he arrived in Italy at the age of 18 to join Torino. Initially added to the Primavera team, he immediately won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa: he made a total of 50 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 7 assists. On January 5, 2020, he made his first-team debut in a 2-0 win against Roma.

In January 2021, he was loaned to Viterbese to gain more playing time: in a season and a half, he played 53 games and scored three goals. Back in Turin, on January 11, 2023, he scored his first goal in a Granata shirt, which proved decisive in the team's 1-0 victory over Milan in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals.

In the summer of 2023, he transferred to Atalanta, making his debut with the Bergamo-based club on August 20, providing the assist for Zortea's decisive 2-0 goal. He made his Europa League debut on December 14, 2023, in a 4-0 victory over Raków Czestochowa, one of the steps towards winning the competition.

Imposing in stature, standing at 187 centimeters tall, Adopo is a midfielder who, thanks to his qualities, can be used both as an inside midfielder and a central midfielder. Dominant in aerial duels and tackles, he combines his great physical strength with technique and the ability to get involved in the play, thus making the most of his skills in the attacking phase as well.
