AssistsBorn in Istanbul on August 15, 2005, he grew up in the Beşiktaş youth academy, where he immediately demonstrated his talent and great potential. Top scorer in the 2023-24 Under-19 championship, he scored 42 goals in 64 games in three seasons. Thanks to his performances, he soon entered the orbit of the first team. He was only 17 when he made his debut in the Süper Lig, the top division of the Turkish league, in a goalless draw against Antalyaspor. A few months later, on July 27, 2023, he scored his first goal, the final 3-1, in the victory against Tirana in the Conference League preliminaries. On January 9, 2024, he scored his first brace in a 4-0 league win over Caykur Rizespor; he repeated the feat a month later with two even more important goals that helped beat Turkish league giants Trabzonspor. He left Beşiktaş after making 87 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists. He won the 2023-24 Turkish Cup and the 2024-25 National Super Cup.
A key player for the youth national teams, with whom he has scored 26 goals in 33 games to date, he has come up through the ranks from the Under-14s to the Under-21s, becoming captain of the latter.
The coach of the senior national team, Vincenzo Montella, gave him his debut on June 4, 2024, in a friendly match against Italy in Bologna. He participated in the 2024 European Championships in Germany, playing in the quarter-final match against the Netherlands.
Kılıçsoy can play in all positions in the forward line: center forward, second striker, or winger. Fast, agile, and quick in tight spaces, with excellent ball control, he is very skilled at beating his man and then either passing to a teammate or going straight for goal.
