Born in Castellamare di Stabia in 2002, he comes from a family of footballers. Despite his young age, he has gained prestigious experience among professionals, including at international level.
He immediately stood out in Inter's youth sector: with the U17s, he scored 33 goals in 40 games, contributing decisively to the 2018-19 championship victory and the Super Cup in that category.
He soon joined the first team, making his debut at just 16 years of age in the Europa League against Eintracht. The following season, he played in the Champions League and became Inter's youngest debutant in the modern history of the competition. He went from record to record: he scored his first Serie A goal for the Nerazzurri on December 21, 2019, in a 4-0 home win against Genoa, in his first start. At 17 years, 5 months, and 19 days, he is the youngest Nerazzurri player to have scored at San Siro and one of the youngest scorers in the club's history.
The following season, he went out on loan, first to Spal in Serie B, then in January to Venezia, also in Serie B, with whom he achieved promotion to Serie A, scoring two goals and providing two assists in 19 games.
In the 2021-22 season, he played for Basel in Switzerland, where he made his mark with seven goals and nine assists in 34 games, including those played in the Conference League. He then moved to the Belgian league, playing for Anderlecht (21 appearances and 2 goals), before returning to Italy in January 2023 to play for Bari. He immediately scored on his league debut in an away win against Spal. In 15 games, he scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists, reaching the promotion playoff final against Cagliari.
The 2023-24 season was spent in Genoa, playing for Sampdoria. He continued to be a key player, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists in 23 games. This earned him the chance to return to Serie A, where he was signed by Empoli and did not disappoint. With the Tuscan side, he scored 10 goals and provided 2 assists in 37 games between the league and Coppa Italia. He ended the season with the Nerazzurri, with whom he played in the Club World Cup in the United States in June, making 4 appearances.
During his career, he has been part of all the Italian youth national teams from Under-16 to Under-21.
A powerful, versatile striker capable of playing in multiple positions in the forward line, he can be used as both a center forward and a second striker. Ambidextrous and skilled at dribbling, he is fast and quick. He likes to vary his play so as not to give his opponents any reference points, often looking for the goal with shots from outside the box. It's not just goals: his vision as an attacking midfielder allows him to find the winning pass to his teammates.
