Born in 2003 and hailing from Ghana, Sulemana joined the Atalanta youth academy before moving to Hellas Verona. He showcased his talents in the 2021-22 Primavera 1 season, making 17 appearances with 1 goal and 3 assists. He made his Serie A debut on October 9th against Salernitana and concluded the past season with 17 appearances, playing a crucial role, including in the playoff victory against Spezia that ensured Verona's stay in the top flight.

Physically strong, Sulemana combines pace with excellent interception skills, allowing him to often outshine his direct opponents, recover the ball, and quickly restart the action.
