Born in Jarkurgan, Uzbekistan, born in 1995, with the Bunyodkor Tashkent shirt - the capital's team - he collected 19 goals in 71 matches in the Uzbek league. Continued growth. In October 2020 he was bought by Genoa and his impact with Serie A was immediately positive: he scored his first goal on 30 November against Parma; on 15 May 2021 came his first double, scored against Atalanta, and he finished the season with 32 games and 8 goals. He then arrived at Roma: with the Giallorossi in a season and a half he made 48 appearances, scored 6 goals with as many assists and won the 21/22 Conference League. In the latter part of last season he played on loan with Spezia where he made 16 appearances, 1 goal and 2 assists.

With the Uzbek national team, of which he is captain, he has so far scored 38 goals in more than 65 matches.

A central forward, 190 centimetres tall, he is a modern striker who loves to move all over the front of the forward area, attacking the depth and freeing spaces for his teammates. Athletically strong, great running, with his accelerations and progressions with the ball at the foot, he is able to quickly overturn the front of the game: his dynamism, dribbling, and technique allow him to effectively aim towards the goal to finish or, if necessary, look for an assist for his teammate.
