Born in Brăila, Romania, on April 10, 1998, Florinel Coman developed his footballing skills at the Gheorghe Hagi Academy, the renowned youth academy founded by the Romanian football legend.
He made his professional debut in 2015, at just 17 years old, for Viitorul Constanța, a club owned by Hagi. Coman played a key role in the team’s historic victory in the Romanian league during the 2016-2017 season, contributing with 6 goals and 8 assists in 28 matches.

In 2017, he moved to Steaua Bucharest (now FCSB), one of the most prestigious clubs in Romania. Coman has represented Romania at every youth level, starting from the Under-17s. With the Under-21 team, he participated in the 2019 European Championship, held in Italy and San Marino. Romania won their group, thanks in part to a stunning brace from Florinel in their 4-2 victory over England, before being eliminated in the semifinals by Germany.
He made his senior national team debut on October 12, 2019, in Tórshavn against the Faroe Islands during the European Championship qualifiers. Coman also participated in the 2024 European Championship in Germany, starting in matches against Ukraine and Slovakia. Overall, his record with the national team stands at 20 caps and 2 goals.

Fast, skillful, and unpredictable, Coman is a versatile winger who can play on both flanks, though he prefers the left side. He is known for his dribbling, vision, and powerful, precise shooting. A truly international-caliber player, Coman brings immense value to the Rossoblù attacking line.
